Applicant privacy policy
Effective July 20, 2026.This policy explains how Stele Inc. (“Stele,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information you give us when you apply for a role at careers.stele.health. Stele Inc. is the business responsible for that information.
What we collect
You give us most of this directly when you apply:
- Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, and location.
- Application content: your resume, work history, education, portfolio and profile links, and your written answers to role questions.
- Eligibility answers: your work authorization responses, and whether you need visa sponsorship.
- Records of our correspondence with you about the role and your progress through the process.
We collect a small amount of technical data automatically, such as your IP address and basic device and browser information, to keep the site working and to prevent abuse.
We do not ask you for a Social Security number, government ID, financial account details, or health information as part of an application. Please do not include those in your resume or answers.
How we use it
- To evaluate your application and run our hiring process.
- To contact you about your application and about the role.
- To consider you for other roles at Stele where you are a fit, unless you tell us not to.
- To meet our legal obligations, and to keep records of our hiring decisions.
- To secure the site and prevent fraudulent submissions.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or for profiling unrelated to hiring.
Automated processing
When you upload a resume, we use an AI service to read it and prefill the application form for you. You review, correct, and confirm every field before anything is submitted. The parsed draft is never the final record, and it is your confirmed version that we keep.
We do not make hiring decisions by automated means. A person reviews every application. If you would rather not have your resume parsed, you can fill the form in manually or email us instead.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes above. These currently include hosting and infrastructure, database storage, email delivery, and the AI provider used for resume parsing. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
Storage, security, and retention
Applications are stored in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, and limited to the people involved in hiring for that role. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you send us.
We keep applications for up to two years after a role closes so we can consider you for future openings and meet our record-keeping obligations, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to limit how we use it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined there.
To exercise any of these, write to careers@stele.health. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows. California applicants should also read the notice at collection.
Equal opportunity
Stele Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. Any diversity information you choose to give us is voluntary, is kept separate from your application, and plays no part in the hiring decision.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Where the change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
